The Premier League have announced the match officials for Matchday 5 of the season, and it’s going to be Lee Mason taking charge as Everton host Middlesbrough in Saturday’s late game.

Mason has done quite a few Everton games, 33 to be precise, over the last eleven seasons. Gareth Barry, who will be making his 600th Premier League appearance Saturday, also received his milestone 100th yellow card from the same referee.

The official had also been in the headlines earlier this season during an Everton game when he stopped the match after Blues players complained of racial abuse from the crowd. The FA Cup Fourth Round tie at Carlisle United was stopped after an Arouna Kone goal brought forth a volley of racist insults from the home crowd.
