Are Everton chasing Moussa Sissoko?

Could we really be doing business with Rafa Benitez? Per Sky Sports News a few minutes ago, Everton are in talks with Newcastle United for France midfielder Moussa Sissoko.

Here we go! Everton are in talks with Newcastle to sign Moussa Sissoko, according to Sky sources.

Newcastle want £30 million for the France midfielder and are willing to accept payment in five installments of £6m.

Tottenham are also interested but talks have broken down over Newcastle’s valuation of the player.

The £30 million valuation is £5 million lower than the original amount quoted when the player was first linked with the Blues in early August.

Tottenham have also been linked with the player but it sounds like talks have fallen through with the London side.

ESPN had earlier reported that the 27-year-old had been granted permission to leave the France camp to fly to England for a medical but there have been no reported sightings of the player.
