Everton have identified Deportivo La Coruna striker Lucas Perez Martinez as their prime attacking target this summer.
Having managed to persuade Romelu Lukaku to stay at the club manager Ronald Koeman has been open about his desire to add another striker to his squad to provide both competition and support for the Belgian.
Numerous media outlets including the Daily Telegraph, Liverpool Echo and the BBC report that Everton have identified Lucas as the man they want to bolster the team’s forward line.
Everton director of football Steve Walsh is believed to be a big admirer of the 27-year-old and had identified him as a possible replacement for Jamie Vardy when at Leicester.
It is reported Perez, who scored 17 goals in 36 La Liga games last season, would cost in the region of £15m.
