Forward Romelu Lukaku trained fully on Thursday and might be short of match fitness, but should be a lock to start in the Everton XI today against West Bromwich Albion. The Belgian forward will have fond memories of The Hawthorns, where he spent a glorious 2012-13 season on loan from Chelsea scoring seventeen goals in the process. He missed the Toffees’ season opener last weekend after getting stitches in a heel injury during the Blues’ last pre-season game against Espanyol.

Seamus Coleman will still be out at least another couple of weeks, while Muhamed Besic is still recovering from knee surgery this offseason. Youngster Tyias Browning is also recovering from a knee injury.

For the Baggies, James Morrison has fully recovered in midfield after playing against Crystal Palace last weekend.

Left-sided player Chris Brunt is out for at least another couple of months after incurring a serious knee injury that resulted in the player missing the Euro 2016 tournament with Northern Ireland.

New Everton signing Yannick Bolasie is in a unique situation where he could face the same opponent on consecutive Saturdays, having come on in the 66th minute last weekend for Palace against West Brom. Bolasie will be keen to not repeat the result though, getting booked and then eventually losing the game.
