After all the talk over the last week or so, winger Yannick Bolasie has put pen to paper and is now officially an Everton player on a five-year contract.
CONFIRMED: We have signed @YannickBolasie from Crystal Palace on a five-year deal. #Bo14sieIsABluehttps://t.co/VsfD7JtkYl— Everton (@Everton) August 15, 2016
He was on Merseyside yesterday and passed his medical barely a day after coming on for Palace as a substitute in the second half against West Bromwich Albion. In a twist of fate, Everton travel to the Baggies this Saturday and it is feasible that Bolasie could feature again in the game.
Rumours in the media have the transfer at £25m, with potential add-ons that could Make the final price up to £30m, a club record fee albeit in today’s inflated market.
The Congolese international is 27 and was born in France. He played at Bristol City before Palace and penned a new three-and-a-half year deal with the Eagles in September 2015.
The winger was a fan favorite at Palace where this chant was born - expect this or some variant of it to continue.
This is going to be stuck in our heads until the end of time, isn't it? #EFC #CPFC https://t.co/iqoP0D3Wk6— Read Everton (@ReadEverton) August 15, 2016
