Idrissa Gana Gueye scooped the RBM readers’ Man of the Match award after Everton drew 1-1 with Tottenham. Watch the extended highlights here.
The midfielder came in with a 4.48 average score, narrowly beating another Everton debutant goalie Maarten Stekelenburg who had 4.38. Ross Barkley and Phil Jagielka came in tied for third, with 3.75.
Gueye had a spectacular day in the middle of the park, snapping into tackles and being a nuisance to the Spurs skilled midfield.

Club captain Jagielka had a good game in the three-man backfield, keeping Spurs main striker Harry Kane quiet for most of the afternoon. In fact, Kane only had two touches inside the Everton area all game long.
