The latest in the transfer rumour mill this morning is that Everton have apparently made an offer of €10M for Dutch defender Bruno Martins Indi. The central defender plays for Porto in the Primeira Liga.

Everton were first linked with the centerback during the 2014 World Cup, when the player moved from Feyenoord to Porto. Current Blues manager Ronald Koeman worked with the player during his time at Rotterdam, and is rumored to be keen on a reunion.

Portuguese paper O Jogo is reporting that Everton have already bid for the Portugal-born player and the club could let him go as they are expecting him to be surplus to requirements. The player has two more years left on his current contract.

Martins Indi made 34 appearances for the club last season, including seven games in the Champions League and Europa Leagues. He had played in 37 games the previous season.

The 24-year-old defender is left-footed, and at 6’1” plays a physical game that would fit right in with the Blues. He has 31 international caps with the Netherlands in the last four years, scoring two goals. He also appeared in over 27 youth internationals with the Holland team.
