Those results put the Americans into second place in the group with a great chance of advancing to the quarterfinals; likely only needing a draw on Saturday to get there.

I say "likely" because if they do only get a draw, Costa Rica could possibly leap frog them in the standings if they can beat mighty Colombia...by six goals. So, yeah, it's safe to say a draw is all they need. A loss by the US, however, would knock the hosts out of the competition, so they need to be on their A-game against no. 39 Paraguay.
