Copa America 2016: Start times, TV schedule and live stream for Tuesday/Day 5

If Tim Howard's USA loses to Bryan Oviedo's Costa Rica, they are eliminated from Copa

Soccer: 2018 FIFA World Cup Qualifying - Semifinal Round-Guatemala at USA Trevor Ruszkowski-USA TODAY Sports

The Copa America is onto its second round of group games and it is a big day for the host nation United States. They currently sit at the bottom of Group A after a 2-0 loss to Columbia on the opening day.

A loss for the Americans today would eliminate any chance of progressing into the knockout stage. So, they could work with a draw. But ideally, they would want a win by at least two goals to both put them in great position to advance and within striking distance of winning the group.

That will be no easy task. The US is 13-5-14 all-time against their CONCACAF rivals, including two consecutive defeats. Their most recent matchup saw the Yanks lose 1-0 back in October. Joel Campbell scored for Costa Rica that day while the Americans chalked up six yellow cards.

Everton player alert!!! Both Tim Howard (United States) and Bryan Oviedo (Costa Rica) watched their teams from the bench in the first group game. They will likely have the same fate this time around, but they might get on camera a few times.

The evening match-up is another tightly-contested one. Between the two sides there have been 42 meetings all-time dating back to 1947. Colombia has won 19. Paraguay has won 17. And six have been draws. They have not met since 2013, but Colombia are winners of three straight games by a combined score of 6-1. However, they met at Copa America in 2007 when Paraguay throttled the Colombians 5-0. Neither team was too impressive in their first group game. We will see how it goes this time.
