The final game of the 2015-16 Premier League season. Going into it, things certainly feel brighter around Goodison Park than they have in the last few months. Roberto Martinez is out as manager. Rumors abound about the summer ahead. And Everton are set to debut next season's home strip today.
The Blues are positioned to have a fond farewell for the supporters. Norwich has already been relegated. Steven Naismith returns to the place where his career rose to the next level. And as interim boss David Unsworth said this week, the players owe the fans a good performance. It's difficult to argue with that sentiment. The Toffees have been dreadful at home all year.
But above everything else. This will be Tim Howard's final appearance in the Everton shirt. He had become a divisive figure over the last season or two, but overall he has been a tremendous goalkeeper for the club. He will now be headed to MLS in a few months time. Thanks for everything you have done, Tim! We wish you nothing but the best!
Come on, you blues!!
