On Saturday, the Toffees face what will likely be their most important match of the 2015-2016 campaign as Chelsea travel to Merseyside for the FA Cup Quarter-Final. Everton are coming off of a deflating loss last weekend when they blew a two goal lead by giving up three goals to West Ham in the final twelve minutes of regulation.

Chelsea had been moving along well until they ran into Paris St. Germain in the Champions League Round of 16 on Wednesday. The Parisians downed the Londoners 2-1 (4-2 aggregate), knocking them out of the tournament. Their previous two Premier League matches have also given them trouble; having had to fight off Norwich in the dying minutes of their 2-1 win only to follow that up with a 1-1 draw with Stoke.

The two clubs have already faced each other twice this season. Everton took the first match 3-1 at home in September. The next match saw both clubs fight to a 3-3 draw in January, capped by a controversial John Terry goal in the 98th minute.

Overall, Everton have had another tough year in the league, currently sitting in the bottom half of the table. They had a good run in the Capital One Cup by making it to the semifinals. With a new owner likely to bring changes to the club in the coming months, Roberto Martinez may want to hope for a deep FA Cup run if he wants to be back in charge at Goodison next year.
