Monday morning, Roberto Martinez sat down with the assembled media at Finch Farm and even though the press conference was to preview the Toffees trip to Villa Park that wasn't the main topic of discussion.
Everton confirmed on Saturday that Farhad Moshiri has bought a 49.9% stake into the football club and the manager seemed delighted with the news.
"The investment is really good news. I met him and the impression I got is of a gentleman with incredible values," said the gaffer.
"He knows the Premier League inside out because he has been involved with another club."
"Sometimes you get businessman who don’t know football but that is not the case here. He has followed this club very closely and he has fallen in love with what Everton means and the heritage and the history."
"You can imagine the excitement we have. It is something for every Evertonian to be excited about and looking forward to."
"This is the start of a new era. He will take us to the next level. He is the perfect person to come in."
Away from the new investment, questions began to focus on Tuesday's game.
"The news at the weekend has given us a feeling of momentum. We have to use that on the pitch," said the manager.
"We are facing a team who are fighting for their lives. We have to match their intensity."
"It's an exciting final third of the season to look forward to, with the league and FA Cup." He continued.
In terms of team news we are looking at pretty much the same squad as the AFC Bournemouth game as the Spaniard said,
"Everyone apart from Mo Besic and Darron Gibson will be fit and available for the trip to Aston Villa."
