After joining the team at the deadline, Oumar Niasse was still awaiting VISA paperwork and was unable to make the squad for the Newcastle game and with only one training session was omitted from the Stoke game. This week though the Senegal International has completed all the paperwork and will be available for the manager if he chooses to introduce him.

Roberto Martinez said that the forward has trained well all week and should be ready to challenge for a spot this weekend. After telling everyone he was not a bench option and would play when ready this is an interesting spot for Martinez. The team has been on a great run and you don't want to break things up, but Niasse seems ready to make a start as well.

Does that mean Tom Cleverly sees the bench or perhaps even Romelu Lukaku gets a chance to rest after a very busy window of games> I'm still not sure how Martinez will deploy Niasse. He's naturally a striker and could play well with Lukaku, but if Martinez insists on a 4-2-3-1 formation it seems he could see the left wing position as well.

Martinez did make some comments about his fitness and that might question his ability to go 90 minutes. If that is the case we might see Niasse start and play about 60 minutes or so, but could also start on the bench and be that super sub for a few games.
