Referee Jonathan Moss will be in charge for Everton’s game at Hull City on Friday. He previously officiated the Blues home game against Crystal Palace, which ended 1-1. Moss handed out nine yellow cards that day, five to the Toffees with Bryan Oviedo, Idrissa Gueye, Gareth Barry, Tom Cleverley and Yannick Bolasie all going in the book.

After that game, here is what Koeman had to say about Moss -

".. it was difficult to understand all of the decisions of the referee today, even with that one he could have made a fault.

"I spoke to Alan Pardew and we were really upset as there were a lot of decisions both ways and yellow cards.

"Come on, it's Premier League football, the referee needs to understand that.."

Moss has also previously sent off Barry and Steven Pienaar for two bookable offenses, aside from handing out 29 yellow cards in fifteen Premier League games for the Blues. Everton have one win and one draw in six away games that he has officiated, a 2-1 victory at Queens Park Rangers at the end of the 2014-15 season and a draw against the same opposition three seasons ago.

The Blues lost 2-0 at Hull the last time they were out there in a New Year’s Day 2015 fixture. They won 2-0 in May 2014 with James McCarthy and Romelu Lukaku getting the goals.
