Tim Cahill has given his prediction for the Merseyside Derby, and his confidence is with “Everton all day”.

The Aussie folk hero relished many a derby scrap during his time with the club, and had this to say about the game tonight to Fox Sports Australia -

“Everton all day!

“We just had a great result against Arsenal and it’s what we needed.

“What we showed in the last five minutes of the game, defensively, is what we’ve lacked.

“Throwing bodies at the ball, making sure we were defending.

“That’s what they’ve needed. They’ve been a bit soft, not been themselves and that’s all the fans want - a team who play with desire and passion.

“It’s a big test for Koeman and the players but I’m Everton through and through and so I’m going Blue all the way.”

Everton have struggled in the Derby lately, entering the 227th edition of the contest with no wins in the last 12 matchups against crosstown rivals Liverpool.
