According to Danish newspaper Ekstrabladet, Everton sent scouts to watch highly-rated striker Marcus Ingvartsen last week. The 20-year-old plays for Nordsjaelland in Denmark.
The Blues have a long history of signing young players, having made youth development a major thing over the last few years.
Indeed, their Under 23 side has shined this season, currently sitting top of the table.
They added a young forward to that group in the summer transfer window as Dominic Calvert-Lewin arrived from Sheffield United.
And it appears they are keen to keep targeting more young strikers, with 20-year-old Ingvartsen reportedly attracting their interest.
According to Ekstrabladet, Director of Football Steve Walsh sent scouts to Nordsjaelland take on Brondby on Sunday afternoon, with the young striker thought to be the focus of their attention.
Ingvartsen has been in impressive form this season with five goals in 13 games for Nordsjaelland as well as starring for the Danish Under 21 team.
The Blues are not the only ones keeping an eye on him, though, with AC Milan, Juventus, PSV Eindhoven, Nice, Werder Bremen and Club Brugge all also reportedly sending scouts to the same game.
