Everton are being linked to AC Milan and Japan international Keisuke Honda according to reports from the Daily Express.

Tottenham and West Ham are also considered suitors for Honda's services and the Toffees would likely need to compete with both London sides for his signature.

Honda joined AC Milan in January 2014 from CSKA Moscow and has struggled to find consistent minutes, especially as of late. The midfielder has only appeared in 12 league matches and appears to be struggling to find consistent playing time.

For the right price, Honda could be an excellent fit with Everton. He is capable of playing multiple positions, namely wing, central midfield and second striker. In addition he is an excellent right footed set-piece taker, something Everton are sorely missing.

This would also give Everton some quality depth at central midfield should Ross Barkley have to miss any time due to rest or injury. Honda would be an immediate upgrade over the likes of Leon Osman and Darron Gibson.

On the negative side, Honda is on the older side, 29, and has struggled since leaving Russia. This could be a huge red flag to Everton and other suitors who wish to bring the midfielder to the highly physical Premier League.
