Everton are back in action after a midweek cup tie at Barnsley. The Blues were victorious in extra time on Wednesday and they look to carry that momentum as they travel to London to take on Tottenham Hotspur.
Last week Everton did not fare very well against Manchester City, losing 2-0 at home. Tottenham are coming off of a tough 1-1 draw against Leicester City.
After picking up a great result against Southampton two weeks ago, the Toffees need to get themselves back on track and pick up some much needed league points. The Wednesday cup match may affect the lineups for the weekend but Roberto Martinez seems to have balanced his mid-week squad with starters and squad rotation players. It is worth noting though that regulars, Romelu Lukaku, John Stones and Phil Jagielka did start this week.
