Capital One Cup Third Round draw done

Blues could face another away trip

Everton have been in the transfer news lately, but not so much for incoming players. Apart from the pursuit of John Stones by "He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named", there is also the small matter of the second round Capital One Cup game that the Blues will be playing today at Barnsley, who are 10th in Football League One. Ironically, Barnsley is where Stones came from, and the Toffees recently signed Mason Holgate as well from the Tykes.

The draw for the Third Round of the cup was done last night, and should Everton win today they will be on the road again, traveling to Reading this time. The matches will be played starting on September 21st. Here is the full draw.

Liverpool v Carlisle United
Reading v Barnsley or Everton
Preston North End v Bournemouth
Walsall v Chelsea
Milton Keynes Dons v Southampton

If Everton can get through today unscathed, they have a tougher test to get into the Fourth Round with Reading who are 19th in The Championship currently.
