Everton pre-season fixtures confirmed

Three more games complete summer line-up

Everton have confirmed the final three fixtures of their pre-season schedule ahead of the 2015/15 season.

In contrast to last season's rather disjointed and disorganised pre-season, Everton have confirmed their games much earlier this time around that will see them play games in England, Scotland and Singapore.

The first match will see them play League One side Swindon Town at the County Ground on Saturday July 11. The game should be an ideal opportunity for both clubs to pay tribute to Andy King, a former Everton player and Swindon manager who died last month.

The squad will then depart for Asia and the Barclays Asia Cup alongside Arsenal, Stoke and a Singapore Select XI.

Upon their return the squad will head north to Scotland for a training camp and two friendlies against Scottish Premiership clubs, the first against Edinburgh-based side Hearts on Saturday July 25 and then Dundee on Tuesday July 28.

Then, with the new season just a week away Everton will play two games in two days, the first against Championship side Leeds at Elland Road on Saturday August 1. Then 24 hours later Villarreal are the opponents in the only match at Goodison Park for Duncan Ferguson's testimonial.

It seems likely that the squad will be split for those two fixtures, though there also remains the possibility of a few surprise names pulling on the Blue shirt for Big Dunc against Villarreal!
