Everton have announced they will take on Leeds United at Elland Road in a pre-season friendly.
The game against the Championship side is their first stand alone game of the pre-season schedule and will take place on Saturday 1 August, with a 3pm kick-off.
It will be the Blues third preseason fixture after they had earlier announced they will be taking on Stoke City and then either Arsenal or a Singapore Select XI in the Barclays Asia Trophy.
United, who are now managed by former Wigan boss Uwe Rosler, finished 15th last season in a disappointing campaign filled with controversy.
The last time the two sides met was a League Cup tie in September 2012 with Leeds running out 2-1 victors on that day. They last met in the league back in 2004, with James Milner equalising a Wayne Rooney opener.
It is refreshing however, to see Roberto Martinez's side taking on challenging opposition this time around, with it hopefully reaping rewards come the beginning of the campaign, with last year's pre-season proving to be a shambles.
