After coming off of another hard fought Europa League win against Dynamo Kiev on Thursday, the Toffees are set to take on Newcastle United. Everton has not won a Premier League match since beating Crystal Palace 1-0 on January 30th. The recent conversation about the club has revolved around how what was once hoped to be a promising campaign has turned into a relegation battle with Everton just six points cushion in the safe zone at the time of writing.
The Magpies travel to Goodison Park as a mid-table team with a 9/8/11 record. They dropped their previous match 1-0 to Manchester United at home. Newcastle will be without one of their key players is Papiss Cissé as he serves a seven match ban for his part in last week's spitting incident with United's Johnny Evans. On the other side, Everton could be boosted by the return of Leighton Baines if he is deemed fit after being out with a groin injury.
