Everton transfer deadline day live blog

After a quiet month on the transfer front, do Everton have any last minute deadline day surprises?

Samuel Eto'o is the only senior player to move in or out of the club so far, with manager Roberto Martinez already stating that he does not intend to replace the former Barcelona man this month.

Martinez has, though, admitted he would like to add a creative midfielder to his squad given long-term injuries to Leon Osman and Steven Pienaar.

No deals are imminent at time of writing, but as we have seen on previous deadline days, things can move very quickly.

A new goalkeeper is also on Martinez's shopping list. The Everton manager stated at the start of the month he is looking to sign a long-term replacement for Tim Howard, with Cardiff's David Marshall and Molde's Orjan Nyland.

However, the recent form of Joel Robles means a new 'keeper is not such a pressing concern and can probably wait until the summer.

After Saturday's morale-boosting win at Crystal Palace spirits are finally on the up again among Everton supporters. But with the team's recovery still fragile, some new faces before tonight's deadline would certainly help.

We will keep you updated with any deals that may happen at Goodison, as well as any other eye-catching moves in the world of football throughout the day.
