November was a good month for Everton, and fans were hoping they would carry that momentum into December. However, just like last Christmas, it ended up being a pretty underwhelming period for the Blues. While the attack looked good and scored a few goals, the defence has been abysmal in the absence of captain Phil Jagielka and one of the chief reasons why the Toffees are not higher up the table.
Since we counted the Capital One Cup quarter final game in November's ratings, we'll take into account the five matches Everton played in December in the Premier League, where they accumulated a grand total of five points.

This year's Premier League still appears to be wide open with just three points separating positions five through ten, at the halfway mark. However, Everton are now in eleventh already three points adrift and if the Toffees do not resolve their defensive woes sooner than later, they will find themselves exactly where they were last season when they looked like they could emulate the previous season before that.
So how do you think Roberto did this last month? Feel free to consider his tactics, team selection, in-game adjustments and any other criterion where he has been involved. Further, also take into consideration how he has been involving the youth squad players in the Premier League matchday squads.
