Manchester United Youngster on Everton's Radar

Nick Powell has long been admired by Roberto Martinez and he may look to bring him to Merseyside

Manchester United Under-21 midfielder Nick Powell could be on the move to Everton next summer according to the Daily Express. Everton scouts were reportedly sent to United's most recent U-21 match against Leicester in which Powell netted two goals.

Roberto Martinez has been keen on buying up young talent and having the team stocked for the future. Powell could prove to be an excellent addition for the future, but could also contribute at a number of positions should a starter go down with an injury. According to Transfermarkt, Powell has been deployed at striker, secondary striker and central attacking midfield. He would not be a replacement for Romelu Lukaku or Ross Barkley but could prove to be a useful upgrade on the bench.

If Everton are able to secure Powell when his contract expires then this could prove to be an excellent bit of business. Roberto has reportedly admired the player since his days at Wigan and snatching him up on a free transfer certainly can't hurt things.
