Everton youngster Tom Davies has reflected upon his surprise call up to the England senior squad this week.
With England's numbers low for Wednesday's training session, manager Roy Hodgson turned to the 17-year-old to make up the numbers in his depleted squad.
After receiving a special pep talk from captain Wayne Rooney, another special moment in a big week for him, he headed out to take on the established England stars such as fellow Blues Ross Barkley and Phil Jagielka.
It was a special moment for the youngster who would not have envisioned such an opportunity coming his way any time soon, and he says that the experience to train with the seniors was a great one for him.
"It's great to have involvement with the seniors," he told the Liverpool Echo.
"For me getting to see how they train and then the talk we received from Jagielka and Milner - it has given us a really good insight into what it takes to become a top player for England. It was a real thrill for me and I couldn't wait to get going."
It was obviously a big week for this particular Everton youngster then, with him enjoying several big experiences he is not likely to forget in a hurry.
Having made a positive impression and catching the eye of some of English football's biggest names, it is sure to be a moment that will spur him to do even better in future.
If Everton are lucky, this international break could have just saw their next big academy star take a big step in his development.
