Everton Injuries

Seamus Coleman is a big doubt for this weekend's clash against Sunderland as the defender has come down with a stomach flu. The illness has caused Coleman to lose some weight meaning he has been unable to train and will likely not have enough energy to play this weekend.

Everton received positive news about Muhamed Besic and more importantly, Leighton Baines. The due returned to training on Friday, and while they are unlikely to play this weekend, the could be back with the first team sooner rather than later.

Sunderland Injuries

The Black Cats could be without several key players for their match up against the Toffees as John O'Shea, Younes Kaboul, Fabio Borini, Jack Rodwell and Ola Toivonen are all listed as doubtful.

Sunderland manager Sam Allardyce believes that one of O'Shea and Kaboul could be ready to play in central defense this weekend but the duo continue to be monitored on a day to  day basis.

Striker Fabio Borini recently received an injection in his ankle so his reaction to that procedure will dictate whether or not he is able to start, or even play this weekend.
