For long periods of this Capital One Cup Fourth Round game between Everton and Norwich City it looked like the Blues would be lucky to get a goal. Midfielders Leon Osman and Darron Gibson in particular had come in for a lot of stick because of how slow and off the pace they looked.
So it was ironic in a way that the ageing Osman, who rarely moves faster than molasses rolling downhill on his best day, overcame that obstacle to place a nifty shot past the Canaries' goalie into the far post with just about ten minutes left to play and tie the game.
The goal marked a momentum shift as the Blues pressed forward for a winner, but it was actually Toffees goalie Joel Robles who made an astounding save in the 90th minute to push the game into extra time.
