Everton Injuries
Just when Everton's key players were making their way back to full health another one goes down with an injury. This time it's captain Phil Jagielka who will be out for at least nine weeks following a knee injury in the weekend match against Arsenal. On his press conference today, Roberto Martinez seemed to indicate that the injury wasn't too serious, but the squad will nonetheless be without one of their best defenders for a number of weeks. Steven Pienaar appears ready to rejoin the first team as he has been taken off the clubs injury list for the first time all season. There was hope the midfielder would be able to make the bench against Arsenal, but the training staff clearly wanted to exercise caution when dealing with the oft-injured player. Muhamed Besic, Leighton Baines and Tony Hibbert still remain a few weeks away from returning to the first team.
Norwich City Injuries
Gary Hooper and Youssouf Mulumbu are the only Norwich players listed with injuries and both are considered game time decisions to play. However, it is very possible that Norwich manager Alex Neil rests these players ahead of their league game this weekend.
