Everton are hoping to ride the momentum of Tuesday's late Romelu Lukaku equalizer in the FA Cup to a turnaround from a disappointing first half of the season. But Saturday's task will be a little more difficult as last year's champions Manchester City visit Goodison Park.
Manchester City are going for a season sweep of Everton, having won the first matchup 1-0 at the Etihad Stadium. Yaya Toure scored the penalty that made the difference, but he won't be available on Saturday due to Africa Cup of Nations obligations with Ivory Coast. However, Sergio Aguero, Edin Dzeko, and Vincent Kompany are all able to return to the City lineup. Leighton Baines should be able to play for Everton, but Sylvain Distin is new to the injury list after suffering a hamstring injury against West Ham.
