Everton Transfer News Round Up

No movement so far at Goodison Park, but goalie is a must...

So far this window there hasn't been any inkling of imminent transfers, but a few possibilities are starting to crop up.

In:

A goalie has been a must for us ever since Tim Howard suffered his calf strain, and the Blues have been linked to a move for Wigan stopper Ali Al-Habsi by several outlets. Whether this is being said literally just because of the Roberto Martinez link is another matter, but he could be a good signing as a short term option.
The boss has said that he is in the market for a long term option between the sticks, so hopefully he goes for someone with a better reputation than the Omani.

One of the more surprising and probably false rumours has been that of Bayern Munich's Xherdan Shaqiri coming to Goodison. If it were to happen the Swiss international would be an amazing signing, but it would also be a major surprise as it is likely the winger will want Champions League football.

There are also some reports about Everton being interested in Besiktas midfielder Veli Kavlak, but there are also reports saying that he has signed a new contract at the Turkish club, so who knows what's going on there?

Out:

Sadly, Ross Barkley has again been linked to Manchester City, but Martinez has made it clear that he will not be selling in the January window. This is sure to go on and on throughout the month.

Our old friend David Moyes is apparently keen on getting one of our players as well, but surprisingly not one of his old charges. Fresh off beating Barcelona with new club Real Sociedad, the Scot is supposedly keen on Arouna Kone. It would be an unusual decision to let the player go just as he seems to be fitting in to our team, so this is unlikely to go through.

So, that is what has been coming up over the last few days. but who would you like us to sign? A centre-back or keeper would be nice wouldn't it...
