Moyes, Sociedad Reportedly Want Kone

Former Everton boss David Moyes may be looking to sign yet another player from his former club if recent rumors are to be believed.

After being sacked as manager of Manchester United, Moyes joined up with Spanish side Real Sociedad and he reportedly sees Arouna Kone as someone that could help his new squad. The Ivorian striker has just recently made his way back into regular first-team football scoring a goal in his first game back.

Kone joined Everton over a year ago from Wigan Athletic and had some serious struggles staying healthy after suffering a long-term knee injury. In his brief time back in the squad, Kone has impressed, scoring a goal and getting two consecutive starts over regular starter Romelu Lukaku.

I think it is unlikely that Everton will be big sellers this winter with a potential and surprising battle to stay out of the bottom three. With Lukaku failing to find his scoring touch from last season and Europa League games still to be played, it's hard to see Everton selling away one of the few senior strikers on the team. Depth aside, Everton are no longer a team that needs to sell players to break even. Unless they find someone better, expect Kone to stay at Goodison
