The Daily Mail's Rob Shepherd has reported that Ross Barkley could be sold "perhaps for as much as £60million - to fund a spending spree in order to shore up their faltering squad and make sure the club does not tumble into the relegation battle."
The most interested party remains Manchester City, while other clubs will surely take notice if the young player is up for sale. Ex-Liverpool player Jamie Carragher trolled Evertonians on Twitter yesterday, saying Barkley should move across the park and replace Steven Gerrard, and £10-12 million should get the job done.
Enough of Gerrard now he's leaving. Replacement has to be Ross Barkley offer 10 million go to 12 tops job done.

Barkley signed a new deal with Everton over the summer that would keep him on Merseyside until 2018. He returned to the first team from a knee injury in October.
This is most likely just silly season speculation with not a lot of basis in fact, but be sure to stay tuned at Royal Blue Mersey and @RBMersey on Twitter for all your Everton transfer window news.
