Samuel Eto'o is moving towards an Everton exit according to the striker's agent. In a report on Football Italia, the Everton's forward's representative is quoted as saying that Eto'o is working towards a move to Sampdoria.

"working towards coming to Sampdoria" and "optimistic,"

Claudio Vigorelli, Eto'o's agent, was apparently at Sampdoria's 1-0 win over Empoli over the weekend, and had a meeting with the club's board on Monday. There are reports of a €500,000 difference between the two sides at the moment, but that sponsor provided bonuses could help close the gap.

Eto'o is not in Everton's lineup, or on the bench, for the team's FA Cup 3rd round replay on Tuesday against West Ham. This will likely fuel speculation about the striker's future with the Blues.

He joined Everton over the summer in a bit of a shock signing, and while Roberto Martinez has been adamant that no players will be leaving during the January window, it's looking more and more likely that Eto'o could indeed be on his way out.
