Everton chasing second Chelsea loan

Everton have held talks with Chelsea over signing Demba Ba on loan, according to the Daily Mail.

The Blues are obviously keen to replace Romelu Lukaku, who seems unlikely to sign on a permanent deal considering his high price tag and competition from other clubs.

That replacement could be Demba Ba, who is reportedly keen to leave Stamford Bridge after scoring just eight goals and not featuring regularly last year under Jose Mourinho.

Ba is currently on £80,000 a week at Chelsea, and this could prove a stumbling block to any move, with the newspaper reporting that Everton and Chelsea are still some distance apart on his personal terms.
