Despite traveling to Thailand with Everton and training with the first team, Bosnian midfielder Muhamed Besic is not officially a Toffee. According to Roberto Martinez, a deal to finally complete the transfer could be done this week.
Martinez offered an update on the transfer in an interview with Everton's website.
"We hope things will be wrapped up for Besic soon. We have a good relationship with Ferencvaros, which has been really open and strong throughout.
"There are certain details that need to be solved and once that's done we'll be okay."
It sounds like most of the heavy lifting is done with Besic's club Ferencvaros is completed, with some final details left to be worked out. Possibly the final fee, or how and when the money will be paid. Whatever the case, Martinez sounds confident that the deal will be done soon.
Martinez is also hopeful that a deal for 18-year-old Anderlecht forward David Henen can be completed soon as well.
"David is a young man who is someone with a very good future and we want him to be part of our development squad and get into the Under-21s."
