Everton vs Leicester City: Gamethread

Paul Thomas

Everton's second preseason game will see the team take on Leicester City in what will be a preview of the Toffees first league game of the 2014-15 season. After drawing 2-2 against Tranmere Rovers in their first preseason contest, the Toffees look to rebound against recently promoted Leicester City.

Roberto Martinez has opted to go with a stronger starting XI in this contest with Gareth Barry, James McCarthy and Aiden McGeady all in the starting XI. Luke Garbutt will again get the start at left back after a strong showing in Everton's first preseason match and it will be interesting to see if the youngster can build off his impressive performance. As previously reported Seamus Coleman did not travel with the team after picking up a knock in the first preseason friendly against Tranmere.
