Everton could be set to complete their second signing of the summer after Bosnian midfielder Muhamed Besic was snapped on Merseyside by a local photographer. The image was tweeted by Liverpool Echo photographer Gareth Jones.
Everton's interest in Besic, currently of Ferencvaros in Hungary, has been well documented, with Roberto Martinez reportedly keen to bring the 21-year-old to Goodison Park following his impressive showing at the World Cup in Brazil. And it appears that a deal could be finalised shortly, with both Besic and the Everton staff in Liverpool following the team's pre-season training camp in Austria.
If he does sign, Besic will join James McCarthy, Leon Osman, the returning Gareth Barry, and the fit-again Darron Gibson in Everton's midfield for the forthcoming campaign, providing some much-needed depth and creativity. We'll have more details on the potential transfer as they emerge, but in the meantime: welcome to Merseyside, Muhamed!
