Everton plot deal for Rubén Pardo

The Daily Star is reporting Everton are after Real Sociedad midfielder Ruben Pardo.

According to the report, Roberto Martinez has already made enquiries about the 21 year old with a view to getting him for £6mil.

Pardo played 44 games for the La Liga side last season and played in every match at the 2011 European Under-19 Championship in Romania, which the Spaniards eventually won.

However, the youngster had only recently signed a contract extension until 2018 with the club so any potential move is likely to be affected by that.

When Martinez first came to Everton I was keen to see him use his knowledge of the Spanish market to grab bargains, and this would potentially fall in that bracket. It remains to be seen whether anything can be done and where he would fit in the side.
