The Mirror is reporting that Everton are set to miss out on the signing of Standard Liege striker Michy Batshuayi.
The Belgian has been tracked by a number of Premier League clubs and was reportedly subject of a bid from Everton in the summer.
However, the newspaper is reporting that the 20 year old is now close to agreeing a move to Olympique Marseille, with him rumoured to be a top target for manager Marcelo Bielsa.
The striker has 49 goals in 128 games for Standard, and already has five goals in 12 appearance for Belgiums under-21 side. He comes from the same academy as Christian Benteke, and has recently been involved in a legal tug-of-war between agents as he tried to secure a move away from Liege.
