Everton keen on Ziyech

Everton could make a move for Heerenveen midfielder Hakim Ziyech

Dean Mouhtaropoulos

Everton are reportedly keen to sign Heerenveen midfielder Hakim Ziyech.

Reports suggest that Roberto Martinez has already sent scouts to Holland to keep track of the Dutch U-21 international, with hopes of securing a €2.5m deal.

Ziyech is an attacking midfielder who prefers to play through the middle but can be employed on either wing, and is highly rated in Holland. Dutch giants PSV and Ajax have already shown an interest in the player whose contract runs out next year.

It is thought Everton are keen to replace Gerard Deulofeu, who has returned to Barcelona. Already the club have been linked with moves Adam Johnson, Cristian Tello and others during this window.
