Stubbs in Hibernian running

Everton could lose Alan Stubbs to Hibernian

Dan Istitene

ESPN are reporting that Alan Stubbs is among the candidates for the vacant manager's job at Hibernian.

The Scottish club sacked Terry Butcher after they were relegated from the Scottish Premiership, and are moving quickly to get his replacement.

Stubbs currently manages the Toffees' under 21 side, and has apparently been interviewed alongside several candidates, including former Wolves and Ipswich defender Mark Venus.

Stubbs joined the coaching staff at Goodison Park in September 2008 and was even interviewed for the Everton job last summer, but lost out to eventual successful candidate Roberto Martinez.
