According to the Sun, Everton have identified Braga midfielder Rafa Silva as a replacement for Gerard Deulofeu.
Roberto Martinez had wanted to keep the Spaniard on loan from for another season, but new Barcelona manager Luis Enrique is keen to have him as part of his squad.
As a result, Martinez has switched his attention to Silva as a potential replacement for the young Catalan winger.
Silva, 21, enjoyed an impressive season with Braga, scoring three goals in 23 Primera Liga games. He made his first appearance for the Portugese under-20 last year, but was not selected for the FIFA U-20 World Cup.
He made his first appearance for the senior side in February, playing the first 45 minutes in a 5-1 win over Cameroon. He was also named in the final 23-man squad for the World Cup, giving Martinez a chance to cast his eye over him more extensively.
One potential stumbling block could be the fact that he signed a 5-year contract in 2013, and Braga might demand a disproportionate fee for his services.
