Everton open Perišić talks

Everton have reportedly tabled a bid for Wolfsburg winger Ivan Perišić

According to the Daily Mail, Everton have opened talks with Wolfsburg over the transfer of winger Ivan Perisic.

The newspaper claims that Roberto Martinez has tabled an £8m bid for the Croatia winger, who is currently at the World Cup and started in their opening loss to Brazil.

Perisic only joined the German side from Borussia Dortmund 18 months ago, and has scored 12 goals in 44 appearances so far. Predominantly a winger, he can also play behind the striker or as a second striker, a trait that will surely appeal to Martinez.
