Southampton vs. Everton: Team News and Lineups

Three matches, 9 points. It is simple enough for Everton, win out and hope Arsenal drops points. It is a difficult task, but today they have to focus on all three points at St Mary's as they take on a quality Southampton side. Southampton currently sits 8th in the table, the best of the rest so to speak, and they will be looking to cement their top 10 finish during what has been a fantastic season.

For Everton, most of the talk has centered around the injuries to Sylvian Distin and Kevin Mirallas. Both will miss today's fixture and likely the rest of the season. For Distin, Martinez will either go with a Antolin Alcaraz or Phil Jagielka, who has just returned from injury.

If he is fit expect Jagielka to partner with John Stones, but if there is any doubt I bet Martinez sits Jagielka to get him ready for a big match against Manchester City next week.

Join us to discuss the upcoming match and what Everton needs to do to succeed.
