Everton vs Swansea City: Team Lineups and News

Everton play host to Swansea City this morning as they look to hold onto 6th place and an important Europa League spot. The Toffees beat Swansea 2-1 earlier in the season, and they should be the favorites to win today.

For Everton Steven Pienaar will miss out due to injury, and it looks like Phil Jagielka will as well. Even if Jagielka is fit, he's likely to start on the bench for a lower priority fixture compared to upcoming matches against Arsenal and Manchester United.

Once again it will be important for Everton tostart quickly and posses the ball. Swansea are no stranger to Roberto Martinez's tactics, and they know and can beat Everton. Even if the Toffees get up, they will need to continue to attack. Sitting back will only guarantee a Swansea equalizer.
