TalkSport are reporting that PSG midfielder Clement Chantome could be open to a move away from PSG in January.

The player has long been linked with a move to Everton, with Roberto Martinez reportedly a firm fan of the midfielder. The 27-year-old has made just six substitute appearances for the French champions this season and may look to move for more game time.

That need for game time has alerted the likes of Everton, as well as Spanish side Sevilla and Olympiacos in Greece. He said: "My future at PSG? For now I'm here and I'll give the maximum for PSG, it's still my first club but we'll see what happens in January."

Whether the Blues would make an offer is another matter, as other areas of the team need attention more. Martinez already has Gareth Barry, James McCarthy, Muhamed Besic and Leon Osman vying for midfield places, making a move all the more unlikely.
