Tim Howard is expected to miss at least a month with a torn calf muscle, according to Goal.com's Ives Galarcep.
Sources have confirmed to me that Tim Howard will miss 4-6 weeks w/a torn calf muscle: My @GoalUSA story: http://t.co/zrSbsipIjq #EFC #USMNT

At this point Everton have made no official statement about Howard's health, but Galarcep says that the US international goalkeeper suffered he injury in Everton's Boxing Day loss against Stoke City.
If Howard is indeed out, Joel Robles becomes the starting goalkeeper for the Toffees. Robles started against Newcastle United on Sunday and did little to inspire confidence in his ability to be the first choice keeper.
With the January transfer window close, there's always a chance Everton could look to bring in another goalkeeper (Victor Valdés is available!). Roberto Martinez preivously said he wasn't planning on spending any money during the window, but injuries and horrible form could force his hand.
We'll have more on this story once the club makes an official statement.
