Rumour: Everton in for Chelsea’s Van Ginkel

Everton could be in for Chelsea's Marco Van Ginkel if he is recalled from his current loan spell.

The youngster is currently out on loan at AC Milan in Italy but Chelsea are reportedly considering recalling him due to his lack of first team football.

That has led to speculation that he could be shipped out to another Premier League team in an attempt to continue his development closer to home. This could put Everton on alert as the Blues were interested in his signature prior to his move to Chelsea.

Everton could be keen to bolster their squad given the number of games they are likely to have played by the time January comes round, given the added Europa League games and the FA Cup starting in the new year. Having said that, defensive midfield is not an area they are struggling in, so they are likely to look elsewhere before any prospective move for the Dutchman.
