The Daily Mirror is reporting that Arouna Koné could be set to return to La Liga in January.
The Ivorian is still struggling to overcome the serious knee injury he suffered last season, with manager Roberto Martinez saying it's unlikely he will be match fit till January.
Koné was in the match day squad for the Capital One Cup defeat to Swansea back in September, but then suffered another injury set back, leaving Everton and the player frustrated once again. He has appeared on the pitch for Everton five times in the last two Premier League seasons, always as a sub. He started a solitary game for the Blues last season in the Capital One Cup.
That has prompted reports that Spanish side, his former club, Levante could be ready to offer the player an escape route with a January bid. Koné actually enjoyed his most prolific time with them, bagging 15 goals in 34 appearances before joining Martinez at Wigan.
